TACOMA WOMEN'S SAILING ASSOCIATION |
Founded in 1976, the Tacoma Women's Sailing Association is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering women through sailing, education, leadership, and community.
For nearly 50 years, TWSA has created opportunities for women to learn, sail, lead, and connect through shared experiences on the water. What began as a way to expand opportunities for women in sailing has grown into a vibrant community where confidence, skills, and lifelong friendships are built.
Today, that legacy continues through sailing education, mentorship, member events, cruises, and on-and-off-the-water experiences throughout the South Sound.
As an inclusive, volunteer-led nonprofit association, TWSA welcomes women of all backgrounds and experience levels—from first-time sailors to seasoned skippers—with a shared love of sailing, learning, and the Salish Sea.
Why Sail with TWSA
TWSA exists to help women build skills, confidence, leadership, and connection — on and off the water.
